Sensual Reads

I have to say that this has been the hardest review that I have ever written. I have been overcome with all of these emotions that these characters in this book bring out that I don’t know how to properly and justly put it into words. Toy’s Story is a very emotional confession of the soul that will tug very strongly at your heartstrings. As the emotions ran wild in this book, I cried openly and loudly, the sobs at times tearing through my body. I have never had a BDSM, erotic adventure touch me in such a way. Robert Cloud has found a way with the words to successfully convey the feelings of grief, total despair, heart-wrenching heartache, unsurpassed joy and extreme happiness. I laughed and I cried with David and Doreen as they fulfilled each others dreams to find peace in their hearts. I am eagerly anticipating a sequel. This book is truly a one-of-a-kind. A must read and must have for anyone who wants a truly good book to read.

Love Romances

Compelling and emotional, Robert Cloud has written a story that will dig into the depths of the emotions and settle deep into the heart.  No punches are pulled in this gritty, tough story and the characters are bared on each and every level of existence.  David, the hero, is not your usual romance type.  He is a large, pot-bellied kind of a guy who has so much emotional baggage to carry that when he finds Doreen, the reader is applauding at his good luck.  The reader will go through every emotional nuance with him, his joys, his love, his lust, his deep disappointment, and his feelings of betrayal.  This reviewer was already crying by page 67.  Doreen seems to be the other side of the coin.  Somewhat naïve, inexperienced but strong and knowing what she really wants.  Both characters go through much in this intense story and the reader will thrill to the unfolding of their love.  The BDSM elements are strong and may at times seem somewhat disturbing, but this reviewer deemed each and every one compelling and true to the characters and their story.  This reviewer hopes that you will pick up this story and read it, carefully.  You will not regret it and will leave you desperate for the next book.

Mr. Cloud’s narrative voice throughout the book places you inside the head of the hero as if you are looking through his eyes. He has written a novel that reveals not only the love and deeply emotional ties of a BDSM relationship, but also the pitfalls of what can happen when online fantasies become real life. The characters are vibrant and real, and Mr. Cloud’s depictions of BDSM relationships, while on the semi-extreme side in a couple of situations, are accurate and believable.

David and Doreen used the Internet to start a romance that centered on her fantasy to kneel at his feet as a slave. When her real life interfered with her Internet fantasy life she left the fantasy behind. But when the fantasy is who you are it becomes overpowering.

Doreen could not stop wishing for the fantasy that was out of reach. When she could no longer deny the powerful fantasy she begged David, her online Master, to rescue her from her vanilla life. He complied, fulfilling her fantasies in ways that she had not dared to consider.

But when fantasies become realities the realities have consequences. For David and Doreen the consequences were deeper and farther reaching than either could have imagined.
